ReptoFilter you have chosen high
quality and convenience from Tetra.
A good choice. With its excellent
mechanical, biological and chemi-
cal filtration the Tetra® ReptoFilter
produces crystal clear, healthy wa-
ter. Maintaining the ReptoFilter is
extremely easy: No need to rinse
out the filter media, no wet hands!
Before you start operating your
new filter please read the instruc-
tions. Enjoy your Tetra® ReptoFilter.

Handling
Installation and operation

Unpack the filter cartridge and
place it together with the filter
foam as shown on the picture.
(attention: The green side of the
filter cartridge should face to-
wards the front of the filter. The
front of the foam grid is marked
with "Front" and should point to-
wards the front of the filter).
The outlet of the filter should be
placed above the water surface.
The distance between filter and
the gravel on the bottom of the
aqua-terrarium should be at least
2.5 cm (picture 2). If you have
placed plants or other objects in
the aqua-terrarium the distance
to the filter housing should be at
least 1,5 cm.

Important: Unplug the unit from
the mains before carrying out any
maintenance activities.
Cleaning
For crystal clear water the filter
cartridge (ReptoFilter/EasyCrys-
tal ® FilterPack C) should be re-
placed every 2-4 weeks.
In order to change the Repto-
Filter/ EasyCrystal
C cartridge (C) unplug the
power plug, simply replace the
cartridge and plug in the filter
again. That's it! (see picture 3
and 4)
ReptoFilter
Filter-Pack C replacement car-
tridges are available at your lo-
cal retailer.
If you need to treat the aquar-
ium with disease remedies,
please use an EasyCrystal
FilterPack C cartridge without
activated carbon, as activated
carbon reduces the effect of
most remedies. These filter car-
tridges are available at your lo-
cal retailer.
The ReptoFilter/EasyCrystal
Filter BioFoam (D) should be
cleaned occasionally, if it be-
comes clogged. It should be
rinsed with water taken from
the aqua-terrarium, as tap wa-
ter will kill many of the useful
bacteria on the filter.
Do not use soap or cleaning
agents as their residues could
be harmful for the reptile.
Do not use sand in the aqua-
terrarium when the ReptoFilter
is installed.
