n
make sure that the automatic welding screen is
in perfect working order before you start the
welding work.
The permissible ambient temperature range for
n
operation is -5°C to +55°C. In other temperatures
the function of the device may be limited.
The ambient temperature range for storage is -
n
20°C to +70°C.
The safety screen (2) may be damaged by weld
n
spatter. Damaged or scratched safety screens
(2) must be replaced immediately.
Damaged or heavily soiled or spattered
n
components must be replaced without delay.
The automatic welding screen is not designed to
n
provide protection from mechanical damage (for
example splinters caused by grinding or cutting
with angle grinders, etc.).
The automatic welding screen is not designed for
n
laser welding.
Protect the automatic welding screen from high
n
14
temperatures.
Keep the optical unit (13) free of dust and other
n
dirt at all times. Sensors, the solar cell (3) and
viewing window (1) on the optical unit (13) must
be cleaned at regular intervals using
conventional window cleaning materials.
Do not make any changes to the automatic

extraction system so that the resulting smoke
and toxic gases can be removed from the area.
Always wear the automatic welding screen when
n
welding. If you do not use it you may suffer
serious retinal injuries.
Always wear protective clothing when carrying
n
out welding work.
It is imperative to observe the accident

a safety screen (2) since otherwise the optical
unit may be damaged.
Protect the optical unit (13) and safety screen (2)
n
from dirt.
Replace the safety screen (2) promptly to ensure
n
that you can see through it easily so that you do
not suffer excessive fatigue when using it.
If the optical unit (13) no longer switches from
n
bright to dark or you observe irregularities, the
optical unit (13) must be replaced.
Parts of the solar cell (3) or sensors on the
n
optical unit (13) must not be covered.
