The following recommendations are for the safe use and proper functioning of the reclining sofa:
1) Do not operate this device without first having read and understood this manual. If you have difficulty understanding the warnings and instructions, please contact your stockist
before using this equipment. Otherwise, there is a risk of injuries or damage.
2) Before using the sofa, please remove the protective plastic covers.
3) WEIGHT LIMITATION: This reclining sofa cannot be used by people weighing over 110 kg. If the motor stops working while the sofa is in the reclining position, the user must be
assisted with getting out of it.
4) This product's upholstery is not designed to be fire-resistant.
Do not smoke on this sofa if you have difficulty getting out of it or moving around. Do not place the sofa near a major source of heat or ignition: (fireplace, electric heater, gas or
fuel combustion heater etc.
5) If the motor is used continuously for at least 2 minutes, please wait 18minutes before using it again.
6) Inspect the sofa for any damage, nicks, tears or damaged frames. Check the remote control. If you notice a fault, do not try to use the sofa. Contact the retailer or carrier for
information on what to do.
7) Do not move the sofa when it is in the reclining position.
8) Do not move this sofa when it is in use or switched on.
9) Do not sit on the legrest or armrests, they are not designed to be used in this way.
10) Do not lean on the legrest or on the top of the backrest to sit down, as the sofa may tip over.
11) Always leave the sofa in the upright seating position when not in use. Do not leave the sofa in the lying position.
12) Do not change the sitting position if someone is sitting on your knees or on the sofa's armrests.
13) Don't allow children to use or play with this sofa. The legrest folds down when closed; a child could be injured. Keep children's feet and hands away from the legrest and
scissors mechanism.
14) Ensure that legs and feet are not in contact with the sofa's moving parts. If objects that have fallen under the chair need to be removed, unplug it first.
15) Do not operate the sofa too close to a wall.
16) When you sit on the sofa in a raised position, centre your weight on it.
17) After any adjustments to, repair or service of the device, and before use, ensure that all screws are properly tightened.
18) Check the product every 3 months to ensure that all fasteners are securely tightened and that there is no damage.
19) If there is damage to the power supply cord, ensure this is replaced by the manufacturer, its repair service or by staff with the same qualifications.
20) When performing any inspection or maintenance of the electronic components or of the product, the product must always be disconnected from the power source.
21) Modifications to the product are not authorised.
22) Ensure that you leave enough space around the product when opening or closing it.
23) Do not allow children to play with the fixed control devices.
24) This equipment may be used by children aged 8 and over, by people with physical disabilities, people with sensory or mental impairments or people with no prior experience
or knowledge, if provided with supervision or prior instructions regarding safe use of the equipment, and if have understood the potential risks involved. Children should not play
with the equipment. Children should not clean or maintain the device unsupervised.
25) Never modify the product's assembly or design. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury or death, as well as material damage.
26) Connect your product to a 220-230 V earthed outlet.
