INSTRUCTIONS

INSTALLING THE BATTERY:

Slide off the back cover to the battery compartment
and install two "AA" batteries.

POWER ON:

To turn the unit on (press and hold the yellow
button for 5 seconds) (three beeps indicates that
the unit is on).

BATTERY CHECK:

When first turned on, the detector performs a self
battery test. The LED's will indicate the battery level,
with each LED indicating about 20% of battery level.
If all LED's flash twice, the battery level is 100%
If only 4 LED's flash twice, the battery level is 80%
If only 3 LED's flash twice, the battery level is 60%
If only 2 LED's flash twice, the battery level is 40%
If only 1 LED's flash twice, the battery level is 20%,
change battery immediately.
It is strongly recommended that the battereis be re-
placed when the battery charge level drops to 40%
or below.

OPERATION

LIGHTNING DETECTION:

When the unit is on, the Blue LED will blink
continuously (two seconds on and three seconds
off). When a lightning strike is detected, the
detector will light the appropriate LED indicating
the approximate distance of the lightning strike.
(Either an audible beep or vibration may be
chosen to alert the user).
