Note: S1R4CFBADMTxx Series Abandonment Plate is intended for use with CFBS1R4CUP on CFBS1R4xx Series Floor Boxes.
Note: This product is intended to be used as an abandonment plate and it requires all power to be removed from the box prior to installation.
CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. Disconnect power before installing or servicing.
NOTICE: To be installed in accordance with all national and local electrical codes, the following instructions and any instructions included with individual devices.
CFBS1R4CUP is required for installation.
1. Install CFBS1R4CUP using instructions as provided with that product.
2. Attach ABANDONMENT COVER GROUNDING CONDUCTOR(a) to the DEVICE GROUNDING CONDUCTOR(b) using UL LISTED WIRE NUT(c) (not provided).
3. Coat mounting screws with UL listed RTV silicon to ensure water tightness (d). Install abandonment plate using supplied (2) #6-32 screws (e), torque to 8in.lbs. Seal
around cover perimeter with the same compound and apply some on the rivet head to ensure water tightness (f).
