3. Using the CSATA2EXC Controller Card
The CSATA2EXC Controller Card has 2 eSATA connections. These eSATA connections can be
used to connect eSATA enclosures, like the Conceptronic CHD3UES.
The CSATA2EXC has "Hot-Plug" support, which means that you can connect external eSATA
disks directly to the CSATA2EXC without restarting your computer. The disks will be directly
functional.
Note: When you connect a new eSATA disk to the CSATA2EXC Controller card, it is possible
that the hard disk is not shown in "My Computer". In that situation, there is no
partition created on the hard disk. See Chapter 5 for instructions how to format your
new hard disk.
