Commissioning
Line balancing
The STLM 645-... must be tuned to
the connected conductor network
during commissioning. This tuning
must be repeated if necessary if the
conductor network is changed or
extended.
Basic tuning for an average line
length has been carried out at the
factory.
If the achievable volume is too
low or the system tends to couple
(whistle), then re-tuning must be
carried out. This can be done with
the aid of the potentiometer for
volume adjustment and the "L" step
switch.
The potentiometer for volume
adjustment and the rotary switch are
only accessible with the operating
plate removed.
Information regarding mounting and
removal can be found in the product
information for the door station.
Carrying out the line tuning
4 Establish a voice connection with
the user.
5 At the opening with the symbol
loudspeaker "b", turn up the volume
to the coupling limit using the plastic
key "a".
The plastic key "a" is inserted in the
inspection shaft cover.
6 Use the step switch "L" to tune
until optimum feedback damping
is achieved. If necessary, check this
by moving your palm in front of the
grille.
7 Check the stability of the system
by moving your palm up to about
5 cm in front of the grille, without
any feedback.
8 Carry out a voice connection test
to the closest and furthest user.
