depending on the number of feeds per day,
the temperature where the product is being
used and the brand of battery used.
Feeder Location
5. The Fish Feeder can be supported from the
stand by attaching it to the supporting
bracket provided (Fig 6). To attach the
bracket, loosen the screw clamp and slide the
bracket onto the tube (see "Assembling the
stand"). When in the required position, fix in
place by retightening the screw clamp.
6. Alternatively, the support bracket can be
screwed to a pond side wall, terrace or
pergola (Fig 7). If you choose to fix the
support bracket in this way, ensure that your
feeder is not too high above the water level
otherwise the dispensed food may be blown
away by the wind.
Always ensure that the feeder is the correct
way up with the handle at the top.
Assembling The Stand
7. Push & twist the spike into one of the lengths
of tube (Fig 8).
8. Push & twist one joining piece into the other
end of the same tube and then fix a second
length to the other end of the joining piece
(Fig 9).
9. Join the other 2 tube lengths together using
the remaining joining piece.
10. Push & twist the joined tube lengths into the
either end of the corner piece (fig 10).
11. Once assembled, the free end of the
horizontal tube length can be covered using
the end cap provided (Fig 11).
12. Push the spike end of the stand into the soil
and ensure it is well supported. We suggest
inserting the stand at a slight angle to
prevent the stand rotating in the wind (Fig
12).
13. Ensure that the ground is not too soft, or the
weight of the fish feeder may cause the
stand to topple over.
Setting The Current Time
14. Adjust the timer by turning the centre red
coloured knob (Fig 13) clockwise until the
current time is in line with the black time
indicator (No 5 Fig 2).
WARNING! NEVER TURN THE BLACK DIAL BY
HAND DIRECTLY! ! !
ALWAYS SET THE TIMER BY TURNING THE
CENTRAL RED KNOB CLOCKWISE.
Setting The Feeding Times
15. You can set between 1 and 6 feedings per
day. To set a feeding, push the green setting
pin on the time indicator outwards. If you do
not want the unit to feed, ensure that the
green setting pin is pushed in (Fig 14).
16. Ensure that all pins are set correctly as you
require before first use (all pins are in the
feeding position when the unit is new). As
the timer dial rotates, the green setting pins
will push the time indicator pin and the food
will be dispensed.
Filling the Food Chamber
17. If the feeder is already fixed to the support
bracket, carefully remove it by sliding it off
the bracket.
18. Steady the food container (Fig 15) with the
thumb of one hand turn the black central
release knob anticlockwise with your other
hand. Unscrew the knob until it can be
removed.
19. Remove the food chamber by tilting the
bottom of the chamber towards you and
take it out (Fig 16). Take care not to lose the
red coloured spacer when removing the food
chamber.
20. Unclip the translucent cover and fill the
chamber with food. Ensure the food is clean
and dry and take care not to over fill,
otherwise when the cover is replaced the
food may get crushed and this will prevent
the food from being dispensed. See fig 17 for
the max fill level.
21. Replace the cover and ensure is it clipped on
all the way round. Return the chamber to the
feeder (ensuring that the arrow on the cover
is pointing UP) by tilting the top of the
chamber inwards and placing onto the
central pillar (Fig 18). Fix in place by turning
the release knob clockwise until finger tight.
Do not over tighten the knob!
Remember to fit the release knob. The feeder
will not work correctly if it is not fitted.
Setting The Feed Quantity
22. Move the dosage slider at the top of the food
container to make the opening bigger or
smaller and adjust the food quantity per
feeding (Fig 19 shows how the slider moves).
Test the amount of food dispensed a few
times before leaving the feeder to work on
its own to ensure that the required quantity
