CALCULATIONS
VISCOSITY AND ACCURACY CALCULATION
If knowing emptying time, it is possible to calculate kinematic viscosity
(see table).
These formulas give viscosity in cSt. To convert units, use the following
converting factors.
Relationship between viscosity and kinematic viscosity:
Centipoises = centistokes x density
The accuracy of measurement, if this has been carried out according
to the applicable standard, is 3% (10% on ASTM D 1200).
Taking measurements in the right temperature conditions requires a
lot of preparation.
