Please read all the information below carefully. They include important information for safety,
use and maintenance of the device. Keep the instructions carefully and pass them on to any
future owners.

Safety Notes
• THOMAS PRESTIGE is for the only use in the household by adult persons.
• Never use the device if
– the power cable is damaged,
– it has visible damages,
– it had been dropped once.
• The voltage specified on the specification plate must correspond to the supply voltage.
• Attachments and tubes must not be near the head when the device is switched on, as this
might cause injuries for ears and eyes.
• The device is not for vacuum cleaning of substances hazardous to health or for caustic or
solvent- containing substances.
• The device should not be used in rooms where inflammable substances are stored or where
gases have formed.
• Substances like gasoline, paint thinner and fuel oil can form explosive vapours or mixtures by
turbulences with the suction air.
• Never vacuum clean hot ashes or hot objects.
• Please check each time before use whether the corresponding filters are placed correctly.
• Never absorb toner dust! Toner which is for example used in printers or copying machines
could be electrically conductive! In addition, the toner might not be fully filtered by the vacuum
cleaner's filter system and thus passes through the suction fan back into the air again.
• Acetone, acids and solvents could attack the materials used on the appliance.
• Please work with utmost care when cleaning stairs. Always make sure to provide sufficient
stability for the unit. The suction hose should not be stretched beyond its length. Always hold
the unit with one hand.
• Never leave the device unattended if switched on and make sure that children do not play with
the appliance.
