• Apply light pressure at medium speed for best results when drilling in brick.
• Apply additional pressure for hard materials such as concrete.
• When drilling holes in tile, practice on a scrap piece to determine the best speed and
pressure. Begin drilling at a very low speed to prevent the drill bit from slipping off the
starting point.
CAUTION:
• Applying excessive pressure on the power tool does not speed up the drilling process.
Excessive pressure may damage the tip of the bit, reduce power tool efficiency and
shorten its lifespan.
• There is a tremendous force exerted on the power tool when the drill bit begins to break
through the workpiece. Remember to hold the power tool firmly and exert care.
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning and maintenance, always switch off the power tool and remove the
battery.
Clean the casing regularly with a soft cloth, preferably after each use. Make sure that the
ventilation openings are free of dust and dirt. Remove very persistent dirt using a soft cloth
moistened with soapsuds. Do not use any solvents such as gasoline, alcohol, ammonia, etc.
Chemicals such as these will damage the synthetic components.
Clean the power tool before storing. Store the power tool, user manual and accessories
in the original packaging. Store the product in a clean, dry place protected from moist and
keep it out of the reach of children. Do not store the power tool in temperatures below 0°C.
Do not place or store any object on the top of the power tool.
Power tools used on fiberglass material, wallboard, spackling compounds or plaster are
subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure because the fiberglass chips
and grindings are highly abrasive to bearings, brushes, commutators etc. Consequently, it
is not recommended to use this power tool for extended work on these types of materials.
However, if you do work with any of these materials, it is extremely important to clean the
power tool using the compressed air.
The product and the user manual are subject to change. Specifications can be changed
without further notice.
