Correct waste disposal of this product
For waste disposal, the M-Bus module and the different part-
ner devices are considered as old electronic devices as speci-
fied by the European Directive 2002/96/EG (WEEE) and may
not be disposed of as domestic waste. The corresponding na-
tional, legal stipulations are to be considered and the device is
to be disposed of via the channels provided for this purpose.
The local and currently valid legislation is to be considered.
Function
The module M-bus MHM5 serves for the communication of a
heat-metering system or an arithmetic logic unit (measuring
unit) with an M-Bus central unit for the transfer of the meas-
ured values.
Over the optical interface, the measured values of the meter
are read out from the module periodically at intervals of 5 to 10
minutes and updated.
After buffering in the M-Bus module, the consumption data is
sent on request to an M-Bus central unit via the M-Bus.
Voltage supply
The M-Bus module MHM5 is additionally equipped with a bat-
tery for possible voltage supply over the M-Bus connection.
This takes over the supply for the add-on module processor if
no M-Bus voltage is applied.
