Motor-driven lock for narrow stile profiles

Problem
Lock unlocks automatically
"Locked" signal does not
appear
Daytime release cannot be
adjusted
Relay contact „function
output" is open
NOTE
Short-term release is not
responding
The lock locks more quickly /
slowly than required (hold-
open time too short / long)
Lock locks immediately
although hold-open time has
been set
Programming not possible / is
not being saved

Cause
• Door contact defective
• "Locked" relay contact is not
assigned.
• Door contact defective
• The latch cannot move to the
locked position
• Seal not broken
• The signal at the control
input drops out
• Latchbolt jammed,
lock moves 4x with 20 s rest
between each movement
• Initial start-up or voltage loss
at lock
• Latchbolt triggered 4x with
door open
The function output is disabled when emergency power
backup B 5490 0301 is used!
• The latchbolt must have been
in the "locked position" prior
to actuation of the locking
cylinder
• Hold-open time programmed
incorrectly
• Door contact is closed
• Jumper missing
• Locking cylinder actuation
time too short
• The lock does not switch to
programming mode
• Modified settings are not
saved
Help
• Check door contact or wiring
(see point 5)
• Check wiring
• Check door contact or wiring

• Align the door/striker; adapt
striker at latch / deadbolt
• Break seal (see point 3.7)
• Make sure the control unit is
sending a constant signal
• Actuate lock via profile
cylinder
• See point "Lock does not
unlock"
• Send control signal once
• Check door, lock and door
contact
• Actuate trigger lever or close
door
• Check/change programming
(see point 6)
• Check door contact / open
door
• Check wiring (see point 5)
• Hold latchbolt for at least
5 s with the locking cylinder
retracted
• Turn off daytime release
• Exit programming mode by
actuating the trigger lever at
the latchbolt
