Intended use
Resting splint for the thumb designed to restrict
movements in CMC 1 and MCP 1 joint and
positioning the thumb in a comfortable resting
position. Can be used together with a textile wrist
orthosis as an extra reinforcement and support.
Intended for one person use.
Indications
Osteo arthritis*, reumatoid arthritis, adduction
contracture of the thumb, overload injury of the
CMC-joint.
*OA in CMC region stage 1-4
scaphoid is also involved. Then the thumb support
should be combined with a wrist orthosis.

No known.
Adjustments
This product should only be altered by medical
professional person.
Warnings
Do not pull the straps too tight as this can cause
poor circulation and/or skin irritation. Check

WHEN FITTING
1. Check that the support is complete
and without damage.
2. Open the wide straps 2 & 3
and leave strap 1 at it's position.
3. Put the hand on the support.
4. Pull the strap over the hand and
attach strap 3 and then strap 2 on
the Velcro on the inside of the support.
5. Adjust strap1 och 2 for comfort.
WHEN USING
6. For donning and doffing after initial
fitting, only open the strap on the
little finger side (strap 3).

the skin on a daily basis and if you see or feel any
irritations or orther problems, remove the product
immediately. If you have marks or chafing that do not
reduce within a short time (30 minutes) contact your
clinician immediately.
Material Specifications
This product is made from Polyester, Nylon, TPU
and Spandex. Core of aluminum and polyethylene.
Does not contain Latex. This product is not flame
retardant.
Washing Instruction
Wash the complete product with the
cover attached. Use a washing bag.
Machine wash in 40ºC (104
Do not tumble dry or dry clean.

contact your fitter or store where purchased.
