POWER
• Before using for the first time, check to make sure that your power supply system corresponds to that indicated on the appliance.
• Your appliance may be operated on an outlet without a grounding contact. This is a class II appliance (double electrical insulation).
Using the remote control unit
The buttons on the remote control unit are identical to those on the appliance's control panel. The information is transmitted to your appliance by an infrared
signal from an infrared light-emitting diode located on the front side of the remote control unit. The infrared receiver is located on the purifier's control panel.
Do not scratch the infrared light-emitting diode or the infrared receiver on your purifier.
To use the remote control unit, point the infrared light-emitting diode toward the purifier and press the desired button.
Make sure that there are no obstacles between the infrared light-emitting diode and the receiver.
The maximum range is approximately 6 metres, facing the purifier.
Remote control unit power supply: The remote control unit operates on one CR2032 button battery, supplied.
Do not touch the battery with your fingers
Place the battery in its housing following the polarity indicated in its housing.
MAINTENANCE
• You must switch off your appliance by pressing button A and unplug it before undertaking any maintenance operations.
• It can be cleaned using a slightly damp cloth.
• Important: Never use abrasive products which could harm your appliance's appearance.
CHANGING THE FILTERS
• Spare filters are available in shops under the product reference number: XD6010F0 (1 HEPA filter + 2 activated charcoal filters).
• The average useful lifetime of the filters is 6 months for the HEPA filter and 3 months for the activated charcoal filter, under normal conditions of use.
• The HEPA filter must be replaced when it reaches the colour of the indicator (10), even if it has been used for less than 6 months.
• You should clean the prefilter regularly (at least once every 2 to 3 months). Dry carefully before reinstalling.
• IMPORTANT: Do not wash the HEPA filter or the activated charcoal filter.
STORAGE
• When not in use, the appliance should be stored in a dry place.
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Your appliance contains many materials that can be reused or recycled. Take it to a collection point or, if there is
none near you, to an authorized service centre for appropriate disposal.
This appliance uses a battery. To protect the environment, do not throw away dead batteries, ins-
tead, take them to a battery collection point. Do not dispose of with household waste.
PRODUCT ASSEMBLY
• To preserve their quality, the filters are protected in packaging and installed on the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance without first having removed the filters from their packaging.
- Open the front panel of the appliance (fig. 1).

- Take the filters out of the appliance and remove their packaging.
- Put the filters back into the appliance (following the order given in fig. 2).
- Close the front panel (fig. 3).
- Insert the hooks into the notches on the base.

- Press on the cover to fasten solidly in place.

• The negative ions that are effectively expelled by your appliance provide balance to the air in the room, pro-
ducing the kind of wellbeing that you feel in the mountains or at the seaside, where negative ions are naturally
found in very large quantities.
OPERATION
• Before starting up the appliance, make sure that:

- the appliance is positioned as indicated in this guide,
- the air inlet and outlet grilles are totally free of obstruction.
• The purifier may be activated by pressing the buttons on the control panel or the remote control. The purifier

emits a beep with every action on the control panel or the remote control.
Button B: Start and Select Speed
Press button B to start up the appliance and select the desired speed by pressing repeatedly (indicator light C
indicates the speed selected).
Button D: Programming automatic appliance shutoff

• You have 4 choices: 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours of operation.
• Press once on button D, the one-hour timer is activated, the 1h indicator light lights up.
• Press a second time on button D, the two-hour timer is activated, the 2h indicator light lights up.
• Press a third time on button D, the four-hour timer is activated, the 4h indicator light lights up.
• Press a fourth time on button D, the eight-hour timer is activated, the 8h indicator light lights up.

• To stop the timer function, press once more on button D.
Button F: Ioniser functions
• Press once on button F; the Ioniser is in operation and the indicator light lights up.
• To stop the ionizer, press once more on button F.
