Installation:

Connect your 3.5" IDE hard disk drive to the IDE connector on the USB cable and to the molex power plug, like the picture
below. Both parts fit only on one way; don't use force to connect them to your hard disk drive.

To connect a 2.5" hard disk drive you need to use the included adapter.
Setup:
Windows 98:
Insert the driver CD in your CD player and double click the file "Setup.exe" in the folder "Windows 98".

Now follow the instructions to install the driver.

Connect your hard disk drive to the adapter and plug the power supply in the wall socket

Plug in the USB connector in an empty USB port of your PC.
Windows will show that new hardware is found and installed.

Windows 98SE / 2000 / ME / XP:
No driver is needed. Just connect the USB cable to the PC, open My Computer and the hard disk drive will appear.

MAC OS:

Copy the file from the folder "X:\MAC\OS-X" on the driver CD to your desktop. (X is your CD-drive)
Double click it and the driver will be installed automatically.

Copy the driver file under the extension directory [System Folder]->[extensions];


Connect the USB hard disk drive and restart the computer.

The USB hard disk will appear after a while on the desk top.
MAC OS 9.0 and higher:

No driver is needed. Just connect the USB cable to a free USB port and the hard disk drive will appear on the desktop in a while.
Please note that a new hard disk need to formatted before usage.
