If you need to move the couch, slide its legs across the floor or carefully lift it slightly off the floor together with another person.
Never try to move the appliance in the way the picture shows. This could cause the frame to become detached from the couch. (Fig. 5)

Lift the canopy and position its connecting tubes over the connecting holes. Slide the tubes steadily into the connecting holes of the
couch. (Fig. 6)
Make sure the cord does not get stuck between the couch and the canopy.
Be careful not to get your fingers stuck between the couch and the canopy.

Put the plug of the connecting cable in the socket on the lower part of the couch. (Fig. 7)
You can disconnect the plug with a screwdriver as shown in the picture. (Fig. 8)

Place the front panel and fasten it with the screws. (Fig. 9)
The only purpose of the panel is to enhance the appearance of the appliance.

For optimum comfort, use the appliance at an ambient temperature of approximately 18°C. If the couch becomes too warm, reduce the room
temperature to below 20°C.

Press the + and - buttons to set the intensity of the face tanner. (Fig. 1)

0 = off

1 = half intensity

2 = full intensity
If you do not set the face tanner, the face tanner operates at full intensity.

If you set the face tanner to half intensity (setting 1) when you have just switched on the appliance, the light of the face tanner does not
,
dim right away, but after 1 minute. After the first minute, the light of the face tanner dims or grows stronger right away when you adjust
the intensity.
setting the body cooler
Select > to set the body cooler.

Press the + and - buttons to set the body cooler. (Fig. 1)

0 = no body cooling

1 = one body cooler fan on

2 = both body cooler fans on
If you do not set the body cooler, the body cooler operates at setting (both fans on).

Put on the protective goggles provided.
Only use these protective goggles when you tan with a Philips tanning appliance. Do not use them for other purposes.

The protective goggles comply with protection class II according to directive 89/686/EEC.

Switch on the tanning lamps by pressing the green I button.
The display shows the remaining tanning time.

During the tanning session, the dot next to the time indication blinks.

If you want to switch off the appliance during the tanning session, press the red \ button.

You can adjust the intensity of the face tanner during the tanning session (HB595 only). Use the ¡ and ™ buttons to select ª and then

set the desired intensity. The new setting becomes active immediately. If you do not adjust the intensity within approx. 5 seconds, the
remaining tanning time is shown on the display again.
If you want to set the facial tanner from 0 (off position) to 1 or 2 while the lamps have not yet cooled down sufficiently (min. 3 minutes),
,
the 0 symbol will blink on the display.
You can adjust the body cooler setting during the tanning session. Use the ¡ and ™ buttons to select > and then set the desired setting.

The new setting becomes active immediately. If you do not adjust the body cooler within approx. 5 seconds, the remaining tanning time is
shown on the display again.
During the last 5 seconds of the tanning session, you hear a beeping sound and the appliance switches off automatically after these 5
,
seconds.
stereo active speakers
During tanning, you can listen to your own favourite music by connecting your own audio player (e.g. CD/MP3 or radio) to the appliance.
To connect your own audio player to the appliance, use the cable with 2 jack plugs supplied with the appliance.

Insert one jack plug into the AUX socket.
Insert the other jack plug into the headphone socket of your audio player (e.g. CD, MP or radio).
You can adjust the volume on your own audio player.

Do not set the volume extremely high, as this could cause irreparable damage to the speakers.
