SAFETY INFORMATION
There are several safety and handling instructions
to be regarded when using the BLS-63 HighPower.
Read these instructions before use.
- Do not touch the aluminium casing of the
headlight when the light is switched on. The casing
can be hot.
- Do not attempt to open or disassemble the
headlight, battery pack or charger!
- Remove the headlight and battery pack of the bike,
when cleaning the bike.
- Always use the original charger to charge this BBB
headlight system.
- Store the charger in a dry location. This charger has
been designed for indoor use only.
- Both the charger as well as the battery pack will
become warm during charging. If either the charger
or the battery pack becomes too hot to touch, stop
charging and contact your BBB bike parts dealer
- Do not short circuit. Avoid contacting the pins with
metal objects.
- Keep the battery pack and charger out of reach of
children.
-This charger should not be uses in adverse
circumstances like in ammable gas,
solvents, vapors, dust, humidity over 80% rel,
moisture or temperatures below 0° C or above 40° C)
- In order to avoid the risk of re and /or electric
shock, this charger must be protected against high
humidity and condensation.
- Do not charge the battery pack unattended.
- Do not charge a damaged battery pack.
- Do not dispose the battery pack/ charger in a re,
or leave the battery pack/ charger in hot places such
as a car under direct sunlight. This can cause an
explosion.
- If the BLS-63 HighPower is not used for a long
period of time, fully recharge the battery pack again
before use.
- During long periods of non-use, unplug the charger
from the battery pack.
- Dispose the BLS-63 at the end of it's life properly, at
the approved recycling points.
CHARGING PROCESS
Note: To ensure maximum run-time, make sure the
battery pack is fully charged.
Always store the battery pack completely charged.
Operation
Charging
* Connect the charger to the mains supply. (Fig.1A)
With the electronic power supply (100-240 V AC) the
charger can be used worldwide.
* Connect the battery pack to the charger (Fig.1B):
The red LED light indicates the charging process.
When battery is fully loaded, the charger switches o
automatically and the LED turns green. (Fig.1C)
Use on the bicycle
* Mount the battery pack as illustrated. There are
several positions possible, choose the position,
which suits you best. (Fig.2A)
* Connect the battery pack to the headlight. (Fig.2B)
* Push the button on the back of the headlight to
switch mode.

* When the battery pack is half full a red LED will
lighten up.
Trouble Shooting
Battery pack is connected properly but the charge LED
does not turn red:
a. Check the battery pack, the connected pack may
be fully charged.
b. Battery pack is not connected properly.
- Disconnect and reconnect the charger to the
battery pack.
c. Contacts may be dirty.
- Clean contacts of the charger and the battery pack.
d. Faulty battery pack.
- Contact your local BBB Bikeparts dealer to get a
new battery pack.
Environment
Rechargeable batteries (battery packs) should not be
disposed in domestic waste.
Bring used batteries to a battery recycling collection
depot.
Check the location of your nearest recycling depot
with your local authority.
Maintenance and cleaning
To ensure proper functioning of the charger keep the
contacts of the charger and battery-pack free from
dust and dirt.
To clean the charger, disconnect it from the mains
supply and use a dry cloth only. Do not attempt to
open the charger.
Repairs should only be carried out by a BBB Bikeparts
dealer.
