・ 油中、水中での使用や常時水、油がかかる環境では使用しないでください。内部に水
や油が浸入する恐れがあります。 （本スイッチの保護構造ＩＰ６７とは、 一定時間水中
に放置した後の水の浸入を確認するものです）
・ スイッチ本体については、埃や水などの浸入から保護されていますが、ヘッド部は微
細な異物や水から保護されていませんので、 異物や水が入らないようにしてください。

・ 配線作業時は通電しないでください。感電の恐れがあります。
・ 配線作業後は必ずカバーを取付けてご使用ください。また、カバーを開けた状態で通
電しないでください。感電の恐れがあります。
・ 回路の短絡によるスイッチの破損を防ぐため、定格電流の１．５～２倍の遮断電流値
のヒューズをスイッチと直列に接続してください｡
ＥＮ認定定格でご使用の場合は、 ＩＥＣ６０２６９適合の１０Ａヒューズ 形ｇＩある
いは形ｇＧをご使用ください｡
・ 一般負荷(ＡＣ２５０Ｖ、３Ａ)の開閉は、２回路以上同時に行わないでください。絶縁
機能が低下する恐れがあります。
・ スイッチの耐久性は開閉条件により大きく異なります。使用にあたっては必ず実使用
条件にて実機確認を行い、性能上問題のない開閉回数内にてご使用ください。
・ 保守・修理の際には設備使用者ご自身での保守・修理は
行わず、設備（機械）メーカへご連絡（相談）ください。
・ 長期間押込み状態での使用は部品劣化を早め、復帰不良になる場合があります。
事前に確認いただき、定期的な点検、交換を実施ください。

■ 使用環境について
・ このスイッチは屋内仕様です｡
屋外で使用した場合、スイッチ故障の原因となります｡
・ 悪性ガス(H S、SO 、NH 、HNO 、Cl など)や高温高湿の雰囲気は接点接触不良や腐食

による破損などを生じる原因となるので使用しないでください。
・ 下記の環境では使用しないでください｡
・ 温度変化の激しい場所
・ 湿度が高く、結露が生じる恐れのある場所
・ 振動の激しい場所
・ 防護扉内側での切粉、加工屑、油、薬品のかかる場所
・ 洗剤・シンナーなどの溶剤がかかる場所
■ 取付方法
● 適正締付トルク
・ ねじのゆるみは早期故障の原因となりますので、各部の適正締付トルクにて
締付けてください｡

● 本体の取付けについて
・ 本体の取付けにはＭ４ねじを用い、座金を使って適正締付トルクで取付けてく
ださい｡
・ 安全のために、容易に取外しできないようなねじ、あるいはそれと同等の手段
によって取付けてください。
・ 下図のようなφ４ -0.05/ 高さ最大４．８の突起を２ヶ所設け、スイッチ下部の
-0.15
穴に挿入し、４点止めで固定すれば、さらに強固に取付けられます。

●レバーの変更について
・ レバーの取付ねじで、レバーの位置は３６０°（７．５°ごと）任意の位置に
セットすることができます。レバーと回転軸にはそれぞれかみ合う溝を設け、
レバーと回転軸のすべりを防止しています。
なお、可変ローラレバータイプの長さを変える場合も、同様にねじをゆるめる
ことで変更できます。
レバーの取付を反対(表・裏)にする場合は、レバー正面のねじを取外した後で
行ってください。この時、水平１８０°の範囲で動作が終了するように設定
してください。
● ヘッドの方向変換について
・ ヘッドの４隅のねじを取外すことで、ヘッドの向きは４方向に変更できます｡
なお、異物を介在させないようにご注意ください
■ 配線
●配線について
・ 絶縁チューブ、Ｍ３．５用の圧着端子を介して端子に接続する場合は、図のよ
うに圧着端子を配置し、ケース、カバーに乗り上げることのないように配線し
てください｡
適正リード線サイズはＡＷＧ２０～１８（０．５～０．７５ｍｍ
また、リード線は図の長さにしたがって加工してください。リード線の余りが
カバーに接触してカバー浮きなどの原因となります。

<コネクタタイプ>
・適用ソケットは、形ＸＳ２Ｆ（オムロン製）です。
・ソケットのピン№とリード線色は、コネクタカタログを参照ください。
●コネクタソケットの締付けについて（コネクタタイプ）
・ソケットの締付けねじを手で回転させ、プラグとの隙間がほぼ無くなる程度まで
締付けてください。
・締付けが不十分ですと、保護構造（ＩＰ６７）が保てなかったり、振動でのゆる
みの原因となります。
● コンジット口の処理について
・ 推奨コネクタを用い、適正締付トルクで締付けてください｡過大なトルクで締付
けられますとケース破損の原因となります｡
・ １／２－１４ＮＰＴをご使用の際には、ＩＰ６７を確保するために、コネクタ
のコンジット側にシールテープを巻付けてください｡
・ ケーブルについては該当コネクタが要求する適正外径でご使用ください｡
・ 配線の際には、使用しない箇所のコンジット口は付属のキャップスクリューを
用い、適正締付トルクで締付けてください｡（２コンジットタイプの場合）
■ 推奨コネクタ
・内蔵スイッチに干渉するため、ねじ部長さが９ｍｍ以下のコネクタを使用してくだ
さい｡
・下記コネクタはねじ部長さ９ｍｍです｡

■ その他
・ シールゴムのズレや浮き、及び異物の付着があるとシール性を損ないます。異常の
ないことを確認し使用してください。
・ シール性が低下する恐れがあります。 正規のカバー取付けねじ以外は使用しないで
ください。
・ 可変レバーなど長レバーでご使用の際には、 テレグラフィンが発生しやすくなりま
すので対策として以下の方法をお奨めします。
１）ドッグの後端をなめらかな角度１５～３０°にするか、２次曲線で結んで
ご使用ください。
２）回路にて誤動作信号を検出しないように変更してください。
・ スイッチのアクチュエータ（ローラ）に斜めから荷重を印加するとアクチュエータ
の変形・折損および回転軸の変形・折損の原因となるので、まっすぐにドッグが
あたるようにしてください。
・ 定期点検を計画的に行ってください｡

1. Be careful not to drop your D4N-R, or the switch will not fully exhibit its ability.
2. Do not disassemble or remodel your D4N-R in any case, or the D4N-R will not
operate normally.
3. Push the actuator into the lock position. Otherwise, it is impossible to lock and it
become a cause of accident.
4. Operate the reset button of the switch by the hand. Otherwise, the reset function
might be destroyed.
5. Do not use the switch where explosive gas, ignitable gas, or any other harmful
gasses may be present.
6. Do not use the switch in the oil and in the water. IP67(EN60947－5－1)
7.Though the switch body is protected from the ingress of dust or water, avoid the
ingress of foreign substance through the head part. Otherwise, wear in short time
or break may be caused.

The value of the breaking current of the fuse must be increased to cover the rated
current by 150 to 200%. When using the switch with EN rating, use 10 A fuse, type
gI or gG that complies with IEC 60269.
11. On the switching of general loads (250VAC/3A), do not operate two circuits or
more at the same time. Otherwise, insulation performance may be degraded.
12. The durability of the switch is seriously affected by operating conditions.

1. Environment
1-1. The switch is intended for indoor use only.
1-2. Do not use your D4N-Routdoor, or the switch will malfunction.
1-3. Do not use your D4N-R in the atmosphere of hazardous gases (H2S, SO2, NH3,
HNO3, CI2, etc.) or high temperature and humidity, or it will cause the
imperfect closing of the contacts or the breakage thereof stemming from
corrosion.
1-4. Do not use the switch under any of the conditions mentioned below.
･ Frequent temperature range.
･ High humidity or dew condensation may be generated.
･ Where the switch is subject to severe vibration.
･ Where the metal dust, oil, or chemical is sprayed inside the door.
･ Where thinner is applied.
2. Mounting method

To change the angle of the lever, loosen the lever clamping screw. Then the
lever can be set at any angle in 7.5° increments.
The length of a variable roller lever can be changed by loosening the lever
clamping screw.
The lever mounting position may be inside out after removing the lever
clamping screw. Make sure that the lever will not touch the switch when the
lever is mounted inside out.
4. Head direction
The rotation of the switch head may be adjusted to any of the four directions by
loosening the head clamping screws at the four corners of the head.
5. Wiring
5-1. When connect with insulation tubes and terminals, connect the terminals as
shown in the following figure and wire without overriding to the case and the
cover. Adequate conductor size is AWG 20 to 18 (0.5 to 0.75mm
Wire leads as shown in the following figure. Otherwise, the switch cover does
not fit.

5-2. Do not push the ring connector and the likes into the opening between the
parts in order to prevent the case from being broken and deformed.
5-3. Use terminals having the thickness of 0.5mm or less to avoid the contact
between the terminal and the switch case inside.

7. Socket Tightening (connector type)
Connect the socket connector to the connector threads of the D4N-R. Then firmly
turn the socket connector by hand so that the connector threaded portion will be
completely covered by the socket connector so that space will be almost 0.
Make sure, however, that the socket connector is tightened securely, otherwise the
rated degree of protection of the D4N-R may not be maintained. Furthermore, the
socket connector may be loosened by vibration.
8.Conduit opening
Use the connectors recommended in clause 9 and tighten the connector with
specified torque in clause 2-1. An excessive torque will bring a case breakage.
When using 1/2-14 NPT, wind seal tape around the joint between connector and
conduit opening so that the enclosure will conform to IP67.
Use a cable with a suitable diameter for the connector.
For unused conduit opening, apply a cap screw provided and tighten it to
specified torque in clause 2-1.
9. Recommendation of connector
Use the connector with thread section of 9mm long or less. In the case of the
connector with longer thread section, protruded part may interfere with the other
parts inside the body. Use below listed connector to secure IP67.

separately (Type names, JPK-16, GP-13.5, GPM20.)and tighten with proper
