Note: If bread gets stuck inside the toaster, remove the plug from the wall socket, let the appliance cool
down completely and carefully remove the bread from the toaster. Do not use a knife or another sharp
metal tool to do this and do not touch the metal internal parts of the toaster.
toasting frozen bread

Put one or two slices of frozen bread in the toaster.

Select the desired browning setting (see section 'Toasting bread').

Push down the toasting lever.

Press the defrost button (Fig. 6).
The defrost button lights up.
Note: Toasting frozen bread takes longer than toasting defrosted bread.
reheating toasted bread
The toaster has an automatic reheat function that reheats toast without making it browner.

Put the toasted bread back into the toaster.

Push down the toasting lever.

Press the reheat button (Fig. 7).
The reheat button lights up.
Note: The reheat function has a preset duration. The toasting time does not change when you move the
browning setting slide to another setting.
cleaning
Never immerse the appliance in water.

Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.

Slide the crumb tray out of the appliance and empty it to remove crumbs from the appliance.
Do not hold the appliance upside down and do not shake it to remove the crumbs.

Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the
environment (Fig. 8).
