Bear in mind the following indications:
An insufficient blade height will lead to the lack of the cut.
An excesive blade height will lead to a shattered cut or the lack of the cut.
The wear of the blade will lead to the lack of the cut, an inadequate cut or
the break of the fiber.
To regulate the blade height it is recommeded to use an external element
as reference. The blade should rub the external element, without this one
leaving a distance from the rubber mounts.
In case that the blade position (1-23) is modified, usually the height would
need to be readjusted.

Blade position adjustment
The fiber optic cleaver has a blade with 23 positions. Each position allows to
perform 1000 cuts as minimum value, which represent a total of 23000 cuts
per blade as minimum value.
While the cleaver performs its function correctly, do not modify the position
of the blade even if it has exceed 1000 cuts. Do only modify the position of
the blade after verifying that the height of the blade is the adequate, even
though the cut not being the adequate or the cut not being performed.
1. Loosen the screw placed on the center of the blade.
2. Rotate the blade over itself. To carry out this process:
- Access from the upper of the blade.
- Rotate the blade by the side (not by the edge) using a wimper, avoiding
in this way to cut yourself.
4.
Blade replacement.
After 23000 cuts, the blade could need to be replaced. To replace the blade
follow these steps:
1. Remove the container for fibers.
2. Remove the central screw that fastens the blade.
3. Replace the blade for a new one and mount all the elements
again,reversing the steps carried out.
