SAFETY CAUTIONS

READ THESE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE UNIT!
• CAUTION: The plastic bags used to cover the unit or packaging may be dangerous. To avoid
all risk of suff ocation, keep these bags out of the reach of babies and children. These bags are
not toys.
• WARNING: Hot surface.
• Do not touch hot surfaces.
• Allow the unit to cool before storing.
• The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
• Do not touch the appliance while in use, use oven or protective gloves.
• Do not place the appliance on or near a hot appliance. Do not use on heat sensitive surfaces or near
infl ammable materials.
• Do not put anything on top of the appliance when it is in use.
• Leave enough space between the appliance and the walls or furniture. Do not place the appliance
under kitchen wall elements.
• Do not let cord hang over the edge of the work surface and do not let it touch hot surfaces.
• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
• Always unplug the appliance after use and before cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended
when plugged in. Pull on the plug to unplug, never on the cord.
• This appliance is not intended to be used with an external timer or a remote control system.
• Never put your hands inside the appliance. Food that is too big, metal packaging or utensils must
not be inserted in the toaster.
• Never attempt to dislodge food when the toaster is plugged into the mains.
• Because the bread can burn, do not use the toaster near or under combustible materials like curtains
or under kitchen wall cabinets.
• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen or if it appears damaged.
• Stop using the machine immediately if the cord is damaged.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
