Separately check the condition of each sliding fall arrester component using the following list: no
defects such as wear, nicks, cuts or deformation or sign of chemicals, cement, paint or other may be
present.

Operation:

Check that the opening and closing system is operational by first unlocking the lock; when the device is
open, verify that the cam spring is operational by moving the cam; visually inspect the inside of the
body.
Verify that the fall arrester slides both upwards and downwards on a 12 mm diameter braided rope;
check that the device does not slide on the rope when the locking cam is pressing on the rope; check
that the rope locking system is operational by moving it; when it is engaged, sliding on the rope should
be more difficult.
Connector:

Inspect it following the directions on the connector verification sheet.
Anchor line:

If there is an anchor line, inspect it following the directions on the rope verification sheet.
State of wear:
Evaluate the state of wear, keeping the above inspections in mind, as well as the product's general
appearance.
