Manufactured to comply BS1542: 1982 and BS679: 1989. All the above
are designed to protect against non-ironizing radiation arising during
welding and similar operations. To be used in accordance with current
Eye Protection Regulations and must be worn when the process or job
for which it is provided is being carried out. Ensure you understand
when it should be worn and if there are any queries consult your
supervisor.
1. Cleaning and Maintenance
This eye protection equipment, can be cleaned using a mild solution of
warm water and detergent and rinsed in clean water. Under no
circumstances use an external heat source for drying. Clean and
inspect regularly. Pitted or scratched lenses reduce vision and seriously
reduce protection - replace immediately.
2. Storage
This product should be stored in the bag/carton supplied prior to issue,
and ideally returned to bag/carton and kept in a clean condition when
not in use.
3. Explanation of symbols used on models listed
BS1540 Class 2, covering gas welding and cutting, which involves
direct exposure to radiation of heat and light, sparks and particles of
metal where moderate reduction of transmitted ultraviolet and visible
radiation is necessary.

Shade numbers to be used during oxygen cutting.
The shade numbers recommended for use during oxygen cutting
following a line on the workpiece are given in the table below.
