3. Assembly
When replacing the gas container, do so only in a well-
ventilated place, preferably in the open air, as far as possible
from all possible sources of ignition such as naked flames, pilot
lights and electric cookers and well away from other people.
Check that burners are extinguished before disconnecting the
gas container. Check the seals before connecting a new gas
container to the appliance.
Make sure that the seal is properly located in the soldering
device (see detail "A"). Close the gas regulator by turning it
clockwise.
Remove cover. Screw on the soldering device by holding it
down and turning the cartridge clockwise.
Do not screw the
cartridge on too tightly, to avoid damaging the thread.
Briefly open the gas regulator and check whether gas escapes.
Using the new cartridges in a cold device can cause the flame
to change. It will soon return to its normal shape.
To remove the cartridge, turn it anticlockwise, a valve in the
cartridge prevents gas from escaping after the soldering device is removed.
Do not dismantle and pack the device away until it has cooled. Put empty cartridges out for
recycling.
