HF720 DOUBLE FILTER COFFEE MAKER
PREPARATION
The coffee maker should be rinsed through for 2 full cycles (without a paper filter and
without coffee) using normal tap water before using for the first time.
STARTING UP AND MAKING COFFEE
1.
Place the coffee maker on a steady, flat surface. Check that the machine is
switched off and plug into the mains (230V). The LED pilot light switches to
red.
2.
Open the lid of the water reservoir and pour the water in up to the required level
(1 mug/2 mugs) on the water gauge.
Important: Check the markings on the water gauge. Never fill with more water
than necessary (1 mug/2 mugs).
3.
Turn the selector switch 1 mug/2 mugs to the required setting. Place both mugs
in the coffee maker and make sure the lids are secure. If you choose "1 mug" the
coffee will flow only into the left mug!
N.B. Always place both mugs in the coffee maker, even when you are making only
one mug of coffee.
Tip: If you rinse both mugs with hot water before putting them in place, your
coffee will keep hot longer.
4.
Open the left swivel filter if you want one mug of coffee; both swivel filters if you
want two mugs. Put a size 2 filter paper in the swivel filter(s) and fold the seamed
edge over to ensure a snug fit. Use a fresh filter for each coffee making cycle.
5.
Spoon the right amount of coffee into the paper filter. We recommend 2 or 3
measures per mug. Adjust the amount to your personal taste.
6.
Close the swivel filter and press the start button. The LED pilot light switches to
green while the brewing process is running.
7.
The brewing process is complete when the water reservoir is empty. As soon as
the brewing process is complete, the LED pilot light switches back to red. Wait for
another minute until all the coffee has dripped into the mug(s). Once the coffee
grounds have cooled, open the swivel filter(s) carefully and empty the filter(s).
To remove the swivel filter, swing it right out by the handle (figs. A + B). Then
raise it slightly and lift the swivel filter off the hinge (Fig. C).
N.B. Don't forget, the filter paper and coffee grounds are hot. Rinse the swivel
filter after every brewing cycle.
8.
The brewing process can be interrupted at any time by pressing the stop button.
The LED pilot light switches to red. Wait a few minutes until the hot water has
dripped through the swivel filter before removing the mugs. To continue with the
brewing cycle just press the start button (the pilot light switches to green).
