HF720 DOUBLE FILTER COFFEE MAKER
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
DESCALING YOUR COFFEE MAKER
Calcium deposits often occur in filter coffee makers This is normal and caused by the
trace minerals in drinking water. That is why your coffee maker must be descaled
from time to time to remove calcium and mineral deposits. If the brewing time
lengthens, this is a sign that the machine needs descaling. We recommend using
diluted vinegar to descale the machine. Mix 2 table spoons of white vinegar with 2
mugs on tap water in a jug. Pour this solution into the water reservoir and run the
machine without filter and without coffee. When the brewing cycle is finished, empty
the mugs and rinse them out with water. Fill the water reservoir with cold water and
repeat the brewing cycle twice more. This will flush out any traces of the vinegar
solution. We recommend descaling the appliance four times a year.
