1. Stick the enclosed self-adhesive drilling and sawing template onto the upper air screen or
the upper wooden panel of the terrarium from the outside in the spot where the TempSet
is to be mounted.
2. Produce the holes and the cut-out in accordance with the instructions on the template.
Deburr the edges with a fi le (or sandpaper for wood terrariums) and remove the template.
3. Insert the cable with the plug and switch through the large opening from the outside. Screw
the two screws supplied with the kit through the predrilled holes in the air screen into the
thread of the cover panel from the inside and tighten them.
When mounting on a wooden panel: Screw two self-cutting wood screws of a fi tting size
through the two small holes of the cover panel from the outside.
4. Screw the desired lamp (or spot lamp) into the socket. Make sure to hold the socket with
the other hand to prevent it from twisting.
5. Now you can connect the mains lead to the power supply and use the switch to turn the
light on as needed. A standard automatic timer can be used instead. In this case, the timer
should always be set to "on".
Safety precautions:
• Make sure that the operating voltage indicated on the name-plate agrees with the mains
voltage.
• Always disconnect the power plug and allow the socket to cool off fi rst before changing
bulbs. Screw in the new bulb and then reconnect the power plug.
• When screwing the bulb in and out, always make sure to hold the socket with one hand in
order to prevent the cable from twisting.
