The model is equipped with a rheostat. Thus pressing the white pushbutton and slowly clockwise rotating the ring nut
it is possible to increase the intensity of light. Counter-clockwise rotate the ring nut to turn down the light until it is off.
After the use, make sure that the light is off.
MAINTENANCE
Periodically check the battery conditions, making sure that no sign of corrosion or oxidation is present, in case
of necessity replace them with new alkaline ones. Carefully handle the batteries as the liquids they contain can irritate
skin and eyes.
Before being used, thoroughly check the product. The same operation shall be carried out after cleaning.
- Check that the connection between the head and the handle is perfect and that the rheostat correctly works.
- If the light is intermittent or in case it does not turn on, check the bulb, the batteries and the electric contacts.
In case the bulb stops working, it is possible to replace it with original spare parts
To replace the bulb, it is necessary to take the speculum out, counter-clockwise turn the bulb and screw the new one
down (see picture). It is advisable to use only original bulbs.
Before removing the bulb, make sure that the instrument has been off for some minutes; otherwise you run
the risk of being burnt.
- Check that the glass is clean; on the contrary it shall be removed. To do this counter-clockwise rotate it and at the
same time pull it towards you.
After cleaning, reintroduce the glass into its seat making the groove match with the small pivot and clockwise rotating
it (see picture).
- It is advisable to always have new bulbs and batteries at disposal for the maximum light.
- The otoscope head and handle can be cleaned with a cloth soaked with disinfectant, however they cannot be dipped
into liquids.
- The speculum can be sterilized in boiling water or in autoclave, in this case the temperature shall not be over 121×;
alternatively cold disinfectants can be used with the same concentration used to sterilize medical instruments.
The product has been conceived to last forever; it is resistant to most part of chemicals except for methyl ethyl ketones
(M.E.K.), diluents and nail polish removers. All internal parts are brass and chrome plated preventing rusting. If the
lamp is exposed to humidity remove the batteries, thoroughly dry to avoid short-circuit

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before using it, it is necessary to insert the batteries into the handle compartment proceed as
illustrated in battery replacement procedure.
Hold the battery handle and head in each hand and match the bayonet grooves on both the head
and handle, push the head down and turn the head clock wise.
Check that the connection between the head and handle is perfect and that the rheostat works
