6 Troubleshooting

Problem
Poor dewpoint
High pressure drop through

Possible Cause
Bulk water carried over into the
PCO2 unit
Overflow of the PCO2 unit
Inlet pressure too low
Inlet temperature too high
Contaminated desiccant
Blocked filters
Overflow of the PCO2 unit
Compressor failure
Action Required
Check pre-filtration elements and
drains
Compare flow through the PCO2
unit to rated flow
Check for modifications to the
compressed air system
Check functioning of the
compressor
Check functioning of the
compressor
Check ventilation around the dryer
Locate and eliminate source of
contamination and replace the
desiccant
Replace any blocked filters
Eliminate conditions leading to
over flow
Investigate problem with the
compressor and correct
