COMMODE ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
Figure 1
ASSEMBLING COMMODE SEAT AND LID
1. Before assembling, allow toilet seat and lid to reach room temperature if
exposed to cold. This will help prevent the seat and lid clamps from cracking
while being assembled onto commode back frame rail.
2. Align the toilet seat clamps onto the back frame rail. (Both clamps should sit
outside the pail brackets.) Push down on seat until clamps snap firmly into place.
3. Slide pail in from the front of commode.

ADJUSTING LEG HEIGHT
1
1. Before use, adjust height of each leg to your specific needs, making sure all legs
are at the same height. When desired height is reached, lock legs into place by
aligning buttons into proper holes, per Figure 2.
2. Check that the legs are locked into place by pushing down and pulling up on
each leg.
CAUTIONS
1. Toilet seat must be in down position before use. Failure to do so may result in
breakage of commode and possible injury.
2. Make certain that the height adjusting push buttons fully protrude through
the same respective hole of each leg extension. This will ensure that the leg
extensions are securely locked in position and an even height is achieved (see
Figure 1).
3. Ensure ALL screws, nuts and/or bolts are tightened.
4. Verify that all tips are in place on the leg extensions and are not ripped, worn or
missing. Replace any missing or damaged tips.
5. All four leg extensions with tips MUST touch the floor simultaneously at all
times.
6. Users with limited physical strength and/or mobility should be supervised and/
or assisted while using the commode.
7. Use the armrest for assistance only. DO NOT use the armrests to support full
body weight.
Weight should be evenly distributed between the armrests.
8. Always use caution when floor is wet. Ensure armrest handles are dry before
use.
9. DO NOT stand on the commode.
10. DO NOT use if wobbly, unstable or not level.
NOTE: If any part or mechanism appears to be unsafe or damaged, DO NOT USE.
If you experience problems, please contact Medline at 1-800-MEDLINE.
CLEANING
1. To maintain appearance and promote good hygiene, clean periodically with mild
soap and rinse with warm water.
2. Let commode dry thoroughly after cleaning.
NOTE: DO NOT use organic solvents, abrasive cleaners or scouring pads on any
part of the commode.
