Charging the device
Attention!
Regularly check the battery capacity of the device
whilst stored by pressing the activation button
(2). Fully charge the device about every 3 months.
A deep discharge could damage the device. If the
battery capacity is too low, it is unable to display.
The device must then be charged.
1. Plug the USB-C connector of the USB charging
cable (8) into the USB charging port (5).
2. Connect the USB charging cable to a USB port.
3. Charging will start. The display will flash „IN".
The display will show the battery capacity in
percent (50 = 50% battery capacity charged).
4. When the display reads „100", charging is
complete.
5. Disconnect the USB charging cable from the
charging port and the USB port once charged.
Motorcycle and car jump starting
Preparations
1. Ensure the battery pack of the device is
charged. Do not jump start a car if the battery
level is below 80 %.
2. Be sure to follow the indications on jumpstart-
ing inside the vehicles' operator's manuals.
3. Set the parking brake on both vehicles.
4. Set gearstick to neutral, for automatic trans-
missions to P.
5. Switch off ignition on both vehicles and all
devices.
6. Do not disconnect the drained battery from
the vehicle's electrical system.
Connecting
Place the jumper leads so they will not be tangled
in moving parts inside the engine compartment.
Connect the terminal clamps of the leads in the
following order:
1. Positive lead (red) to positive terminal of
drained battery.
2. Negative lead (black) to the negative pole on
the drained battery, or to a suitable mass (e.g.
engine block) on the vehicle.
Caution!
Connect this earthing point to the vehicle earth
as far away from the battery as possible to avoid
igniting explosive gas which may be present.
3. Open the jack cover (3) and connect the
jumper leads (7) to the device.
Starting
1. Press the activation button (2). The display will
show „OUT".
2. Start the engine of the vehicle with the
drained battery (starting attempt max. 15
seconds - wait at least one minute between
additional attempts to start).
Disconnecting
Caution!
When disconnecting the jumper cables, be careful
they do not come into contact with the moving
parts of the engine.
Attention!
Risk of damage from electrical surge!
Disconnect the device from the vehicle's battery
within 30 seconds of starting the vehicle to pre-
vent damage to the device.
Disconnect the terminal posts of the cables in the
