Operating the Ceramic Burner
Do not plug in the appliance until it is time to heat the unit and start the cook-
ing process. Do not leave it plugged in if it is not in use!
CAUTION: THE UNIT GETS HOT DURING COOKING AND PREHEATING.
1.
Turn the temperature control knob to "min" (off).

Plug the burner into an appropriate outlet.

Turn the control knob to the desired setting. The unit will cycle on and off to
maintain selected temperature. The required setting will depend on the type or
amount of food and cooking that is needed.
4. The indicator light on the front of burner will turn off when the hot plate
reaches the selected temperature. Heating may cycle on and off to maintain the
selected heat level.
The heating element will begin to heat immediately. Do not touch while in use,

the housing surface will also become hot.

When the burner is not in use, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and
allow the unit to cool down. Do not touch the unit near the surface until it has
fully cooled.
When removing cooked items from the burner, BE CAREFUL AS THEY WILL BE HOT.
Wear gloves when touching hot containers.
TO KEEP FOOD WARM
Turn the knob to a suitable position to maintain food at a constant warm temperature.
This will depend on the type and amount of food. When the knob is turned all of the
way to the left (min/off), food will stay warm as the burner plate gradually cools down.
