Whenever the appliance is switched

on with the collecting vessel in
position, the light for 2 cups of
coffee will glow. To select more
cups, press the + button. Each time
the button is pressed, coffee for an
additional cup is selected. To
reduce the number, press the –
button. When one light glows,
coffee for the corresponding number
of cups indicated will be milled. If
two lights glow for example below 4
and 6 then this indicates coffee for 5
cups will be ground.
7 Once the desired number of cups
has been selected, press the
'Start/Stop' button.

The appliance is fitted with
safety interlocks which
prevent the appliance from
operating if the collecting
vessel and its lid are not
correctly fitted or if the
hopper is unscrewed.
8 Ground coffee will dispense into the
collecting vessel and as soon as the
selected amount of coffee has been
ground, the unit will automatically
switch off. To stop the unit earlier,
press the 'Start/Stop' button.
9 Remove the collecting vessel and its
lid. Use the ground coffee as
required.

Empty the collecting vessel before it
becomes full.

During grinding if all the coffee beans
do not move down into the grinding
chamber, shake the unit slightly.
This may occur if the coffee beans
are too oily or damp.

Always switch off and unplug before

Never put the machine in water or let
the cord or plug get wet.

To ensure freshly ground coffee, we
recommend cleaning the unit after
every use.
Always ensure the collecting vessel

is free of ground coffee.
Make sure the hopper and collecting

vessel are empty of coffee beans or
coffee.
Don't wash parts in the dishwasher.

Wash by hand, then dry thoroughly.

Unscrew the hopper by turning anti-

clockwise, never remove it if it
contains coffee beans.
Brush away any ground coffee with

the brush provided.

With the hopper removed, brush

away any ground coffee that may
have accumulated around the
grinding mechanism or coffee outlet.
Wipe the body of the coffee grinder
G
with a damp cloth then dry
thoroughly.
Don't use abrasives – they'll scratch

the plastic.

safety reasons, be replaced by
Kenwood or an authorised Kenwood
repairer.
