Using the learn function
The AV selector can store signals from up to 4 remote controls of audio-video devices or
from universal remote controls.
These settings remain stored even during a power failure.
Warning:
If input is interrupted for more than 10 seconds during programming, then you must restart
programming. Please read the following instructions in advance.
1. Press the POWER button on the AV-800S. The indicator above the POWER button turns on.
2. Press the LEARN button for approx. 4 seconds. The LED flashes.
3. Press buttons 1, 2, 3 or 4 on the front side of the selector. The light of the pressed button
turns on.
4. To "learn" the signal of a component such as your DVD, hold the remote control of the DVD
in front of the selector and press the power button. For a universal remote, first press the
button corresponding to the device and then press the power button. After the signal of a
device has been recognised and stored, the light of the corresponding button on the
selector turns off.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 to "learn" the signals of other remote controls.
6. Press the LEARN button once again. The indicator switches off.
Operation
Manual operation
1. Switch on the desired output component (TV, VCR, etc).
2. Press the POWER button of the AV selector.
3. If you want to use the device which is connected to input 1 press button 1. For the device
at input 2, press button 2. The same method applies to other devices.
4. Switch on the desired input component and use it as you normally would.
Operation with remote controls
1. Switch on the desired output component (TV, VCR, etc).
2. Press the POWER button of the AV selector.
3. If you want to use the device which is connected to input 1
press the POWER button on the remote control of that device. This switches the selector
to input 1.
4. If you want to use the device which is connected to input 2 press the power button on the
remote control of that device. This switches the selector to input 2. The same method
applies to other connected devices.
