5 - PREPARATION – USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
- Connecting the discharge hose
Screw on the tap connector (G) (fig.2).
Connect any compatible standard connector.
- Adjusting the float:
To operate correctly, the float should not be
left completely free; it should be placed in
the adjustable cable clamp. Otherwise, it is
possible that the pump would not stop if
there was no water, thus causing a risk of overheating
that could cause injury to the user.
You can adjust the float (fig.2) to vary the trigger level
to start and stop the pump (illustration fig.3) by adjus-
ting the free length of cable (pressing into the cable
clamp D).
Note: in order to ensure that the float ope-
rates correctly, at least 10 cm of cable must
be left between the base of the float plug and
the fixing on the body of the pump.
- Installation: (fig.3)
Depending on the nature of the water to be eva-
cuated, position the reversible base (I) in position in
the particle-loaded (fig.4.1) or clean water (fig.4.2). To
do this, undo the two screws (J) with a suitable tool

and then position the base as desired (this is also
indicated on the base itself) and re-secure all the
parts using the screws.
Lower the pump on a line fixed to the carry handle
and position it, checking that the float has sufficient
space to move freely.
- Switching on:
Ensure that nothing prevents water from being dis-
charged by the pump (e.g. kink in the pipe). Connect
the pump to the electrical supply system.
The pump will start automatically once the required
water level has been reached (float in the high posi-
tion) and stops when the water level is sufficiently low
(float in low position), according to the float setting
made previously and the depth of immersion.
The pump is not intended for continuous use or for
dry running. Otherwise the pump could overheat and
could injure the person using it.
Do not leave unattended.
