SPONGE CAKE

• Switch on oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.

• Place a circle of greaseproof paper in the

• Place all the ingredients in the mixer bowl.

HONEY COOKIES
75g (3 oz) plain flour
50g (2 oz) butter
• Switch the oven to 160°C, 325°F, Gas Mark 3.
1 x 15 ml spoon
Grease a baking tray with a little oil or butter.
(1 tablespoon) honey
• Ask an adult to help you melt the butter and
1 x 1.25 ml
honey in a pan.
( ¼ teaspoon)
• Sieve the flour and baking powder into a
baking powder
bowl.
• Pour the honey/butter into the bowl and
mix with your spatula.
• When the mixture is cool, mould into small
balls.
PIZZA
100g (4 oz)
self raising flour
• Switch oven to 220°C, 425°F, Gas Mark 7.
pinch salt
Grease a baking tray.
25g (1 oz) soft butter
• Put the flour and salt into your mixer. Add
4 x 15 ml spoons
the butter & mix until they resemble fine
(4 tablespoons) milk
breadcrumbs. Your parents can tell you when

they are just right.

• Add the milk and mix with a flat palette
tomato ketchup

• When the
cake is cooked
it will have
shrunk slightly
from the sides
of the tin. Press
the top lightly
with your finger - if cooked it will spring back.
Your parents will show you how to do this.
Put the cake on cooling rack but remember
to use oven gloves.
• Spread top with jam
and cut into triangles.
• Ask an adult to place in the oven for 10
minutes.
HELP
NEEDED!
• Divide mixture into 2 and roll each piece out
into a circle about 13cm (5 inches) across.
• Spread with tomato ketchup, sprinkle with
mixed herbs and top with grated cheese.
• Ask an adult to place in the oven for 10
minutes until cheese is golden.
