Conversion to a Pull Push Saw
When operating as a pull push saw, the saw
blade must be able to run freely over the com-
plete cutting length.
– To release the saw blade, push lever 25 to-
ward the left.
Sawing with Sliding Action (see figure Q)
– Adjust the desired mitre angle on the univer-
sal guide 1. (see "Adjusting Mitre Angles",
page 46)
Note: To avoid jamming or slipping of the
workpiece, the clearance between saw blade
28 and fence 36 may not exceed 15 mm
(max.).
– Adjust the desired bevel angle. (see "Adjust-
ing Bevel Angles", page 47)
– Position the workpiece on the saw table in
front of the blade guard 3.
– Align your mark on the workpiece along the
laser beam. (see "Marking the Cutting Line",
page 47)
– Raise or lower the saw blade with the crank
18 so that the upper saw teeth project ap-
prox. 5 mm above the workpiece surface.
– Adjust the blade guard according to the
workpiece height.
When sawing, the blade guard must always
face lightly against the workpiece.
– Hold the workpiece and press it firmly
against the fence.
– Switch on the machine.
– Actuate release lever 24 and pull the pull
handle 23 with uniform feed toward the
front, so that the saw blade cuts through the
workpiece.
– Release the pull handle.
The saw blade returns to the starting posi-
tion.
– Switch off the machine and wait until the
saw blade has come to a complete stop.

Sawing
Operation as a Table Saw
When using as a table saw, move the workpiece
toward the rear against the stationary saw
blade.
This operating mode is suitable for:
– Lengthwise cuts
– Cutting lengths in excess of 212 mm
Conversion to a Table Saw (see figure R)
When operating as a table saw, the saw blade
must be locked in the centre of the saw table.
– Pull the release lever 24 and the pull handle
23 toward the front and at the same time,
push lever 25 toward the right to lock the
saw blade until it engages.
Sawing
– Adjust the desired bevel angle. (see "Adjust-
ing Bevel Angles", page 47)
– Adjust a 0° mitre angle. (see "Adjusting Mitre
Angles", page 46)
– Depending on the workpiece size and on the
set bevel angle, mount the fence 36 upright
or flat to the universal guide 1. (see "Mount-
ing the Fence to the Universal Guide",
page 44)
Note: When sawing, workpieces can become
jammed between the universal guide and the
saw blade, be caught by the rotating saw
blade, and be thrown from the machine.
Therefore, adjust the fence 36 in such a man-
ner that its guiding end ends in the area be-
tween the saw blade centre and the riving
knife.
For this, loosen wing bolt 34, move the fence
and retighten the wing bolt again.
