Fasten two pillars at each end of the bath board through the
outermost slots with two screws. If fitting the handle to the board,
insert the screws into the holes in the handle before putting through
the board and screwing into the pillars (see diagram 1).
Position the bath board over the bath ensuring that the rear upstand is
on top.
Adjust the pillars for a secure fit against the sides of the bath (see
diagram, 2). Avoid the board overhanging the side of the bath.
Tighten the wingnuts to secure the pillars in positions (see diagram 3).
Test the board to ensure it is stable on the bath.
Check the security of the board before each use.
Clean with a non-abrasive disinfectant.
Individuals who use a bath board need to be able to lift their legs over
the bath side, or have assistance to do so from a carer.
Keep away from children unless supervised.
Some users may find it appropriate to place a folded towel on the
board to prevent risk of trapping parts of the body.
