SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Warning – Due to the risk of injury, this product is not suitable for use by children and persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory or intellectual capacities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised or instructed on the use of the device by
a person responsible for their safety.
2. Warning – Risk of electric shock. If you lack the necessary experience and knowledge, this device
must always be connected by a certified electrician, in accordance with the locally applicable
standards and legal regulations, including a good earth connection and residual-current device.
3. Warning – To reduce the risk of electric shock, a damaged cable should be replaced immediately,
when possible (see also point 16).
4. Warning – To reduce the risk of electric shock, the use of an extension lead is not recommended.
Only connect the device to an earthed mains socket.
5. Do not bury the connection lead. Never combine connections and/or connection leads with
those for lawn mowers, hedge trimmers and other equipment.
6. Never install the device where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
7. Keep children away from this device and the lead.
8. Only put the device in use after it has been fully installed in accordance with the installation
instructions in this manual.
9. Never touch the device if it falls in the water! Disconnect the connection lead first, before taking
the device out of the water. Because electrical components are damaged by water and therefore
become unsafe, the device must be submitted to authorized/certified technicians for repair/
maintenance.
10. The device should not be switched on if it is damaged, e.g. during transport, by a fall, due to a
manufacturing defect.
11. Always connect the device to an undamaged earthed mains socket with self-closing cover.
12. Always remove the power plug from the socket when the device is not in use and/or when it is
being worked on or cleaned. The power plug must be removed from the mains socket by pulling
on the plug itself. Never pull the lead to remove the plug from the mains socket.
