Before commissioning this tool it is imperatively necessary to read, understand and
observe these operating instructions.
General safety guidelines and personal safety
ATTENTION
• Before commissioning the device, completely and thoroughly read these operating instructions including
the safety guidelines and observe and follow them. Then, keep these operating instructions at a safe place,
accessible for each user of the device.
• The device must only be commissioned, installed, used, cleaned and maintained by expert persons who
have understood and follow these instructions. The user must be physically able to operate this device.
• In case of improper use, as well as in case of any modification or combination with improper foreign parts,
material damages, severe health damages for you personally, as well as for third persons and animals
might result.
• The applicable safety directives, regulations for the working place and health and safety regulations of the
corresponding country or of the corresponding area of use must be observed and complied with, e.g. the
German accident prevention regulations.
• Make sure that the device is kept out of the reach of children and such persons who are not familiar with its
operation. It is potentially dangerous if the tool is switched on by persons who are not familiar with the
safety and operating instructions.
Risks at the working place:
• Slipping, tumbling and falling down are the main reasons for severe or even lethal accidents. Pay attention
to hose lines lying on the floor in your way or in the environment of the working place.
• Make sure to have a safe posture and firm stability.
• Repeated motion sequences, unfavorable posture and continuous vibration may have damaging effect on
hands and arms.
• A high noise level can result in continuous hearing loss. Use the prescribed ear protection.
• Avoid inhaling dust and contact with dust or material remainders produced during the working
process – they might be harmful to your health.
• The operating and maintenance staff must be physically able to handle the size, the weight and the force
action of the device.
• This device is not designed to be used in explosive rooms and must not get into contact with live parts.
• Please observe that each material is subject to wear and thus it may result in fatigue of tools.
• Firmly hold the tool and make sure that you are standing safely in order to be able to counteract possibly
occurring forces of the tool.
Dangers by spatters flying off at a high speed:
• Even small spatters which are for instance swirling up due to exhaust air might cause eye injuries. When
working with a compressed air device for repair and maintenance tasks as well as when replacing device
attachments, it is necessary to wear corresponding eye and face protection (protective goggles, mask).
• This also applies for all other persons who are present in the danger zone.
• Never run the machine idle. It might run too fast which might cause that possibly mounted device
attachment are slinging away.
• Only use attachments which are suitable for the tool due to their fit.
• In case of malfunctions immediately switch off the device and have it checked by an authorized workshop.
• In case of strong vibrations switch off the tool and have it checked by an authorized specialist workshop.
It is forbidden to operate the device further on without taking corresponding corrective measures.
Personal safety
• Only use the device when you are awake and well rested.
• Always take care of what you are doing and use your common sense when operating the tool.
• Do not use the device when you are tired or under the influence of medicine, alcohol or medications.
A slight inattention may result in severe and serious injuries.
• Always wear suitable personal protective clothing and protective goggles. When wearing personal
protective equipment such as e.g. dust masks, anti-skid safety boots, protective helmet and ear protection,
the risk of accidents and injuries is considerably reduced.
• Avoid starting the tool by mistake or inadvertently. Make sure that the device is disconnected from the
compressed air supply after use and when transporting it.
