Before using the appliance for the first time
Clean the cooling bowl, lid, the mixing paddle and its axis using a sponge or cloth with warm water and mild
detergent. Do not use the dishwasher.
Rinse and fully dry the whole appliance.
Freezing the cooling bowl
The most important step to make ice cream is to ensure that the cooling bowl is properly frozen.
The liquid between the walls of the cooling bowl must be completely frozen before using the ice cream maker
and adding your mix of ingredients.
Place the cooling bowl in your freezer. Check that the freezer temperature is around -18 ° C.
The time required to properly freeze the cooling bowl (minimum 8 hours) will depend on the temperature of and
how full your freezer is. For best results, place the cooling bowl at the bottom of your freezer where the tempe-
rature is the coldest.
Shake the bowl to check the level of freezing: you should no longer hear the sound of liquid inside.
Assembly of the appliance
Rotate the motor unit and insert the axis of the mixing paddle.
Insert the motor unit in the transparent cover.
Assembly the motor unit with the transparent cover; match the slot of the pin with the edge of the lid and press
the lid and the motor unit one over the other to make them fit snugly.
Mount the mixing paddle.
Take the freezing bowl out of the freezer and make sure it is properly frozen. Place the motor unit over the bowl
and secure it in place by turning clockwise.
Press the power button to start the mixing paddle rotation.
Immediately add the mixture of ingredients through the opening in the upper part of the transparent lid.
Let the unit run for about 20-40 minutes. Do not leave the appliance on for more than 1 hour.
Tip: The consistency of homemade ice cream is usually softer than that of industrial ice cream. If the
ice cream is too liquid: pour it into another container using a rubber spatula or a wooden spoon and put
the container in the freezer to harden the ice cream; reduce the quantity of eggs in the mixture; keep the
mixture in the fridge for 30 minutes.
