device was damaged in transit, don't install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

Do not operate the unit with wet hands.
Keep the internal unit away from rain and moisture.
• Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer
will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
• A qualified technician should install and service this device.
• This device falls under protection class I. It is therefore essential that the device be earthed. Have a qualified
person carry out the electric connection.
• Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual.
• Do not start or stop the unit by directly plugging the power cord in or out.
• Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Never modify the power cord by extending or
shortening it. Have an authorized dealer replace it if necessary.
• Remove the water from the tank and disconnect the device from the mains to clean it or when it is not in use.
Handle the power cord by the plug only.
• Switch off the unit and pull out the plug if there is a smell when operating the unit.
• Do not use the unit in the vicinity of caustic or volatile gases.
• Keep the unit 1m away from TV sets or radios to avoid electromagnetic interference.
• Open a window when the unit has been functioning for a long time in order to refresh the air.
• Never cover the units or place objects in front or behind the units. Never put fingers or any other object through
the grills.
• Install both units in a vibration-free environment. Handle both units with care.
• Use a continuous drainpipe when using the continuous drain function.
• Let the unit cool down after shutoff for about 3 minutes before switching it back on.
• Note that damage caused by user modifications to the device is not covered by the warranty.
• Keep the device away from children and unauthorized users.

3. Cleaning and Maintenance

• Switch off the unit and unplug the mains lead before cleaning.
• Dusty filters will reduce the ventilation performance. It is recommended to change filters (order code EAC12SFIL)
every two months.
• Wipe the surface of the unit regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol, solvents or chemical
products. Never immerse the unit in liquids.
