Preliminary checks
Checking for damage - Verify that the various parts of the device does not display physical damages
due to bumps, tears or abrasions.
Check in particular:
• That there are no signs or dents, indicative of bumps caused by transport.
• The integrity of the the electrical cables.
Damage Reporting Procedure

the Customer care office of the manufacturer.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY!
- The pump can operate in "Wet & Dry" mode (submerged or out of the water) only in case of correct
installation under the water head as it is not a self-priming pump.
Dear customer, thank you for purchasing an AMTRA STREAM SUMP DC pump. This product is intended
for use in fresh and marine water aquariums and can work both in immersion (generally positioned
in a "sump" tank) and in line (water inlet from a suction pipe, please note that the pump is not a
self-priming item).
"INSTALLATION:
- SUBMERGED USE (FIG.1): apply the protective grid in the front part of the pump in order to avoid
both the accidental aspiration of big particles that can damage the pump and the accidental entry of
fish, other animals or plants that would inevitably be exposed to the risk of contact with the impeller.
Take special care not to put your fingers inside the impeller chamber (transparent part of the pump
body where the orange impeller is housed) when the pump is running to avoid personal injury.
Choose the hose fitting of the diameter suitable for the water outlet hose and install it as shown in
FIG.1 in the upper part of the pump, taking care to use the O-rings provided. Proceed by inserting the
hose to the newly assembled fitting. The pipe must never have a smaller diameter than the fitting
connector. It is advisable to fix the hose to the fitting using an hydraulic clamp. Place the pump in the
tank (sump) in order to guarantee the correct flow of water to the suction part. Do not operate the
pump without the protection grid. Do not operate the pump with the outlet completely closed (FIG.
3). Only once the pump is correctly positioned in the final position and is completely submerged in
water is it possible to connect the appliance to the electric socket and start it.
-IN LINE USE(FIG.2): Choose the hose fitting of the diameter suitable for the water inlet hose and
install it as shown in FIG. 2 in the front of the pump, taking care to use the O-rings provided. Take
special care not to put your fingers inside the impeller chamber (transparent part of the pump body
where the orange impeller is housed) when the pump is running to avoid personal injury. Always
protect the suction pipe with a grid to prevent foreign bodies or animals from being sucked into
the pump. Choose the hose fitting of the diameter suitable for the water outlet hose and install it
as shown in FIG.2 in the upper part of the pump, taking care to use the O-rings provided. In suction
avoid curves elbow with tight radius using a straight section or curves elbow with large radius. It is
advisable to use pipes with a diameter equal to the diameter of the chosen hose fitting. To minimize
pressure losses use inlet and outlet pipes of the same diameter. Please do not position the pump
near heat sources and in a space without adequate ventilation to avoid overheating which would
send pump into protection with impeller blocking. Choosing a position as close as possible to the
tank as long hydraulic connections decrease pump performance. The pump is not self-priming and
therefore must be positioned under the water head as shown in FIG.2 to avoid dry running or the
creation of air bubbles that can damage the pump itself. Proceed by inserting the tubes into the
newly assembled hose connectors. It is advisable to fix the rubber tube to the fitting using a hydraulic
clamp. Do not operate the pump with the outlet completely closed (FIG. 3). Only once the pump is
correctly positioned in the final position and the water suction pipe is flooded is it possible to connect
the appliance to the electric socket and start it. Check carefully that there are no water leaks from the
fittings either after the first start or periodically.
SETTING:
AMTRA STREAM SUMP DC is a fully adjustable pump with included wave motion function that can be
activated if necessary. By the contreller you can set the pump (FIG.4).
With ""FLOW"" key it is possible to set the desiredwater flow rate on 9 levels (1 = minimum / 9 =
