maximum). The currently set power will be shown on the display.
With the "" MODE "" key it is possible to select the ""constant flow"" or "" wave maker"" operation.
CONSTANT FLOW PROGRAM: press the MODE key until the symbol = appears on the display. Use
the FLOW key to set the desired power. The pump will run constantly with the set hourly flow rate.
WAVE MAKER PROGRAM: press the MODE key until the symbol Ξ appears on the display. Set the
desired maximum power with the FLOW key. The pump will work by increasing and decreasing its
power while respecting the maximum hourly flow rate set.
FEED MODE: press "FEED" buttonto stop the pump for 15 minutes thus allowing the feeding of fish,
corals or invertebrates with specific feeds without the risk that the food is quickly dumped in sump
or aspirated. After 15 minutes the pump will resume operation as set by the user. If you do not want
to wait 15 minutes to restart it, simply press the "FEED" button again and the pump will restart.
The pump is equipped with a temperature sensor which, in case of overheating due to dry running,
blocks the power supply. The pump will then stop working avoiding damage to the device. The
message "E9" will appear on the display to indicate that the pump is blocked. A further sensor is
able to recognize when the impeller is blocked (for example due to a foreign body) thus interrupting
the power supply. The error message "EF" will appear on the display. However, the pump will try
to reactivate at intervals of a few seconds. In both cases, to restart it, once the normal operating
conditions have been restored, simply press the "FEED" button twice or disconnect it and reconnect
it to the electric socket.
MAINTENANCE: for correct and efficient operation AMTRA STREAM SUMP DC requires a simple but
necessary periodic maintenance.
We recommend checking the pump daily with particular attention to the water flow to make sure it
is not blocked and that the output power is the desired one.
Every 45-60 days both the cleaning and the complete check-up of the pump must be carried out.
To do this, disconnect the pump from the electric socket and its controller. Also disconnect all other
electrical appliances in the water before touching the pump. Disconnect the pump from the pipes
and in case of submerged installation, remove it from the water.
To access the impeller, the transparent plastic part that creates the impeller chamber must be
removed: to make it rotate this transparent part anti-clockwise, keeping the pump body firmly with
the other hand. If the pump is particularly encrusted this operation may require some force. Remove
the impeller (orange rotor) from its seat. Clean each component under running tap water using a
small brush to remove scale. Be careful at this stage not to wet or immerse the electronic controller
or power cable in water. If the impeller is particularly encrusted, we recommend soaking it for a
few minutes in water and vinegar (diluted 10%), taking care to rinse it thoroughly under running
tap water to remove all traces of vinegar. Reassemble everything in reverse order, taking care to
position the impeller correctly in its seat (the black plastic protection ring between the impeller
and the magnet has three notches that must be positioned in the special seats on the pump body).
Carefully check that the seal between the pump body and the impeller chamber is in position and
not to damage it as even minor injuries can compromise the seal and performance of the pump.
In the event of a significant increase in noise or vibration produced by the pump, it is advisable to
inspect and clean both the connection pipes to eliminate any problems or the impeller.
Do not use chemicals or products not specifically marketed for cleaning submersible aquarium
equipment.
