Connecting the Batteries

The UPS is shipped with the battery disconnected. The battery must be connected for the UPS to
operate. Connect the batteries to the UPS prior to connecting the UPS to AC mains or connecting
any equipment to the UPS.
The installation procedure is as follows:
1 Remove the two screws on
the battery door.

3 Slightly slide the battery
pack out.

5 Connect the negative (-)
battery terminal to the black
battery wire.

7 Slide the battery pack back
into the UPS.

2 Remove the battery door.

4 Remove insulation on the
negative (-) battery terminal.

6 Apply the insulation tape to
negative (-) battery terminal.

8 Reinstall the battery door
removed in step 2.
Reinstall the two screws

removed in step 1.
