SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: RISK OF SUFFOCATION AND / OR CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING.
The appliance may only be used outdoors
- Do not touch any hot parts of the appliance. Let the device cool down fully before putting it
away.
CAUTION: Accessible parts can be very hot. Keep young children away from the appliance.
- Check that the seal between the appliance and the gas cartridge is in place and in good
condition before connecting the gas cartridge.
- Never use the appliance if it has damaged or worn seals.
- Never use the appliance if it is leaking, damaged or if it does not function properly.
- This device must be operated at a safe distance from inflammable substances. Maintain a
safe distance from inflammable materials. Keep at least 0.5 metres of distance to the sides of
and 1 metre above the appliance.
- The appliance must be used on a flat, level and stable surface.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended
- Replace the gas cartridge in at a well-ventilated place, preferably in the open and away
from all possible ignition sources such as open flames, pilot flames, electric cooking
devices and away from other persons.
- Smoking is prohibited when handling the gas cartridge.
- If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take the device outdoors immediately
to a well-ventilated location away from sources of ignition, where the leak can be safely
detected and repaired. Take the appliance outdoors before checking for leaks. Never check for
leaks using a flame; always use a soapy solution or a leak detection spray!
- If the appliance is not to be used over longer periods, keep it in a safe, cool, dry and well-
ventilated place out of the reach of children.
- The gas cartridge must be detached if the appliance is not to be used over longer periods,
or if it is to be transported.
- Never try to repair the appliance by yourself. If a repair is necessary, contact the
manufacturer's customer service or a similarly qualified person.
INSTALLATION / PREPARING FOR USE
CONNECTING THE APPLIANCE TO A
"MULTIGAS 300"-CARTRIDGE
This appliance shall only be used with a Rothenberger "Multigas 300" butane-
propane non-refillable gas cartridge. It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other
types of gas containers.
Proceed as follows to connect the heater to a gas cartridge:
- Open the gas cartridge compartment door (1a).
- Swivel the appliance valve (2) outwards.
- Ensure that the seal in the appliance valve (2a) exists and is in good condition.
- Ensure that the control knob (4) is in the position 0 (OFF).
- The threads on the pressurised gas cartridge and appliance valve are right handed threads. Screw
the gas cartridge clockwise on to the appliance valve (2) until the seal is airtight. Do not use tools for
this connection.
