Using MAGIC CONTROL
➤ Lever the tyre off the wheel 10° behind the wheel in the direction it turns
(A, page 13).
➤ Detach the tyre sensor from the wheel and unscrew the valve from it using
an allen key (B A, page 13).
➤ Take out the old valve and dispose of it (B B, page 13).
➤ Put the new valve in the tyre sensor (B C, page 13).
➤ Tighten the nut to 2 Nm (B D, page 13).
➤ Put the sensor back in the tyre as described in chapter "Fitting the tyre
sensors" on page 56.
Caution
When putting on the tyre, always start opposite the valve.
Otherwise, the sensor might be damaged while you are fitting
the tyre.
➤ Pull the tyre back on the wheel (f, page 8 to h, page 8).
➤ Fill the tyre with air or nitrogen until it firmly touches the wheel (i, page 8).
➤ Use a water bath to check that the valve is tight (j, page 8).
➤ Fill the tyre to the pressure specified by the manufacturer (k, page 9).
➤ Balance the tyre (l, page 9).
➤ After you have fitted the tyres, program the tyre sensors (see chapter
"Programming the tyre sensors" on page 64) and save the cold air
pressure (see chapter "Saving the cold air pressure of the tyres" on
page 67).
