POWER
After assembling the piano, safely connect the
supplied power supply firstly to the piano and
then to the mains. Turn on the piano by turning
the [POWER ON-OFF / VOLUME] dial to the "on"
position.
SETTING THE VOLUME
The [POWER ON-OFF / VOLUME] can also be used
to adjust the volume to your desired level when
playing. Turn the dial in a clockwise direction to
increase the volume.
USING HEADPHONES
A standard pair of headphones can be connected
via the HEADPHONES output on the back panel of
the piano for private practice. The internal speakers
are automatically muted when headphones are
connected.
AUX IN
The AUX IN jack allows you to mix an external
sound source (such as a smartphone or MP3 player)
with the piano's internal sounds, for playback
through the piano's in-built speakers or headphone
output. The volume of the AUX IN is controlled by
the external sound source.
USB TO HOST
The JDP-1 can be connected via USB (cable not
included) to a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer,
providing an ideal function for using compatible
software, for example piano tuition apps.
SUSTAIN PEDAL
The foot pedal included with your digital piano
can be connected to the PEDAL input and, when
held down, allows the sound of the notes played
to decay slowly, or "sustain." Ensure the piano is
turned off before connecting the pedal.
