PROGRAMMING
To enter programming press the recessed Program button on the front panel using a ball point pen or
similar. The PROG annunciator appears on the display. Only the two front panel buttons are used for
programming.
• The Reset button changes the parameter (number of decimal places, increments the displayed digit,
toggles between available options etc).
• The Program button accepts the currently displayed value or function and continues to the next step
in the sequence.
The parameters which appear on the display during programming are those which were set up at the
preceding programming session. You can use this facility to review the settings by entering programming
and going through the sequence again.
If a time base or multiplier prescaler less than 0.01 is entered, the unit will default to 0.01 on exit from
the programming mode. The programming sequence is shown in the illustration.
When you press the Program button to accept the last parameter in the programming sequence, the unit
exits from the program mode and adopts the mode which you selected at step 1.
1 TACHO/RATEMETER MODE SELECTION:
Previously used annunciator flashes. Press
Reset to toggle between PERIOD and
GATED.
2 GATED MODE DECIMAL POINT
POSITIONING: 0, 0.0, 0.00 or 0.000 appear.
Press Reset to step through the sequence.
3 TACHO/RATEMETER GATED MODE
TIMEBASE ADJUSTMENT: Units are
seconds to 3 decimal places.
4 PERIOD MODE DECIMAL POINT
POSITIONING: 0, 0.0, 0.00 or 0.000 appear.
Press Reset to step through the sequence.
5 PERIOD MODE MULTIPLIER / DIVIDER
PRESCALER SELECTION: Previously used
annunciator flashes. Press Reset to toggle
between MULTIPLIER and DIVIDER
prescaler.
6 TACHO / RATEMETER PERIOD MODE
PRESCALER FACTORS: Press Reset to
increment flashing digit. If no prescaling is
required, set prescaler to 1.
7 TOTALISER DECIMAL POINT
POSITIONING: 0, 0.0, 0.00 or 0.000 appear.
Press Reset to step through the sequence.
8 TOTALISER RESET ENABLED / DISABLED
SELECTION: Press Reset to toggle between
Reset Enabled and Reset Disabled.
9 TOTALISER MULTIPLIER / DIVIDER
PRESCALER SELECTION: Previously used
annunciator flashes. Press Reset to toggle
between MULTIPLIER and DIVIDER
prescaler.
